Picnicking

Picnic tables are available adjacent to the Visitor Center parking lot. Picnicking and coolers are not permitted in the historical area, including around the Fort Site and New Towne. However, guests are welcome to bring their own food and eat in one of the two picnic areas outside of the Visitor Center. Vending machines with bottled water and snacks are also available on the back patio of the Visitor Center.

The Dale House Café, located between the Fort Site and the Archaearium museum, is currently closed for renovations.

The picnic areas are “Leave No Trace” areas, so guests are kindly asked to dispose of all trash in appropriate receptacles when finished.
